The Song of the Coquí
There are 17 species of coquí frogs native to Puerto Rico. Yes, that’s right 17! Chi Chi Rodriguez Books welcomes a new addition to Carlito the Coquí’s family, the Juan A. Rivero’s Coqui! This new species of coquí frog was discovered after the first printing of There’s a Coquí in My Shoe! in Toa Baja, Puerto Rico, and we’ve included this cute, little guy in our second printing! Here’s a sneak peek at a few of Carlito’s and Juan’s cousins. Each species of coquí frog has its own unique song. To hear their lullabies, visit proyectocoqui.org. Enjoy!
