A wonderful time at “El Dia del los Ninos/El Dia de los Libros (Children’s Day/Book Day)” festivities at the Please Touch Museum!

Great FUN was had by all during last week’s “El Dia del los Ninos/El Dia de los Libros (Children’s Day/Book Day)” festivities at the Please Touch Museum. My sincerest thanks to everyone at Please Touch Museum, Telemundo and Philly HolaCiudad for the invitation to read There’s a Coquí in My Shoe! and all their hard work to make it a successful day! Looking forward to seeing everyone again real soon.

In addition to all of the beautiful, large exhibits currently on display at the museum, the day was filled with bilingual activities celebrating the Latino culture! We all had a blast, and I sure didn’t want the day to end. Take a moment to view the Please Touch Museum Virtual Tour. It’s a fantastic hands-on museum where adults and children can learn and explore together.

I love the Please Touch Museum’s logo. The museum was formerly located in Center City, Philadelphia, drawing 200,000 visitors a year. Because of its success, the museum had to move into bigger space and is now located at Fairmont Park in Philadelphia with over 400,000 visitors a year! Truly awesome!

Here I am getting ready for storytime in the Please Touch Museum's Story Castle. The oversized throne chair was intimidating to say the least. But as soon as I sat down, my fears dissolved as the children made me feel like queen for the day! The kids and parents were remarkably wonderful and supportive.
